Rector of the ¿ìÉ«¶ÌÊÓÆµ visited Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a part of the delegation of the City of Kragujevac which signed the Protocol on cooperation and twinning links between two cities
As a part of this visit, which took place from January 25-27, 2024, rector Filipovic had a series of official meetings aimed at exploring the opportunities for future collaboration between ¿ìÉ«¶ÌÊÓÆµ and US partner HEIs. In that context, the rector first met with the chancellor of the University of Wisconsin, Mark Mone, PhD and the vice-chancellor Andrew Daire, PhD and then with Brett Peters, PhD, the Dean of the Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences of this university and other deans of respective departments. They discussed the possibility of joint collaboration on exchange of students for study and research, exchange of academic staff for teaching and research, collaboration on research projects and publications, organizing joint seminars, conferences and other scientific events, etc.
Rector Filipovic also had a fruitful meeting with the president of the Medical College of Wisconsin, John Raymond, MD, the Director of the Office of Global Health, Tifany Fraser, MPH, the Director of the Office for Engagement and Strategic Planning, Mara Lord, PhD, MBA and others to whom rector Filipovic presented the achievements of Serbian researchers in the fields of medicine and bioengineering in numerous international projects in cooperation with the partner institutions in Serbia and abroad.
