Erasmus Student’s Traditional Food and Dance Night at the Student Culture Center

On November 22nd, the Student Culture Center in Kragujevac, in partnership with the ¿ìÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ’s Department for International Cooperation, hosted a charming event celebrating traditional food and dance. This gathering brought together Erasmus exchange students from various countries studying at the university this semester, creating a vibrant cultural evening.

The event showcased the culinary and dance traditions of 22 countries, including Spain, Germany, Turkey, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine, Pakistan, Uganda, Ukraine, Yemen, Palestine, Ghana, China, Benin, Phillipines, Indonesia, Armenia, Greece, Iran, Morocco, Ecuador and Nigeria, highlighting the rich diversity of global cultures. The exchange students, part of both the Erasmus+ and Erasmus Mundus EMMBIOME programs at the ¿ìÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ, played a central role in bringing this multicultural experience to life. The evening welcomed not only international students but also local students, Erasmus+ alumni, and ¿ìÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ students who will soon participate in the program. Community members from Kragujevac also joined the celebration.

The students and attendees enjoyed traditional music and dance from various parts of the world, with the highlight of the evening being a performance of Serbia's national dance, organized by the Student Cultural Center. In the international cuisine segment, a multi-national jury was in charge of judging the tastiest delicacy prepared by the participants. Then, the audience voted for two winners— the Philippines and Armenia—through an online platform.
